These are the only aftermarket front lower control on the market for the 2G DSM cars, and they’re built like tanks! They’re fabricated from heavy-wall 4130 chromoly tubing and weigh in 30% lighter than the OE arm. (3.5 lbs VS. 5.0 lbs) The shock mount and inboard end use Teflon-lined sphericals. We have 200+ sets out in the world right now on today’s DSM race cars. These are rebuildable if/when it comes to it. VMC inventories all replacement components and we offer free rebuild service of this arm set.
Aside from the weight savings, other benefits include:
* A stronger, rebuildable, and greasable balljoint
* ~1/2″ drop on the outboard pivot, which helps raise the roll center
* ~1/2″ more shock travel (lowered mount)
* All sphericals, so no more bushing deflection
These arms are powdercoated frame black. They will come assembled and greased with ProTac Plus high-pressure grease. They will also include boots over the ball joints, boots over the inboard heims, and seals over the other sphericals, as a standard option..
These are designed to fit any 1995-99 Eclipse/Talon and 8th gen Galant/Legnum.
